i really love what art can do to people, its like being a conductor for the soul. seemingly having control of emotions on a very primal level. an image can make you think of something from a very, very long ago, or something that is going on right now. you know when you see a piece of art that you connect with, it moves something inside, something you don't understand but you will work forever in your mind to figure it out. though, in the end you never will.

my name is paul mauer. i have been an artist for as long as i can remember talking. the graphic arts are truly amazing! though my love sits some where between the conventional arts (drawing, painting, charcoal, pencil) and the graphic arts. my true love and interest is melding these two platforms. i love the ease of computer aided graphics with the added organic feel of natural art. i have combined these platforms to a new level (even if just for myself), and the result can be seen throughout this website.

over the last ten years i have been working with folks to come up with very inventive album art/layout, promo material, logos etc. working only on a local basis with bands, venues, and companies. my friends and family have urged me into the next level. namely getting myself out to the masses to see if all of you would like the same carefully detailed art i have done for the local companies and bands in the olympia area. this site is ever growing with new stuff around every corner. i would love to do your next project! and i hope you enjoy my work. thanks!
